Description
This is one of the ultimate adventures you can embark on. We will be sailing across the Pacific Ocean for over 2,300 NM. We will not be able to rely on assistance for most of the passage. In the best case there might be a cargo ship within a few days that could assist if need be. But for all purposes and intents we have to be self sufficient, equipped with what we have on the boat and our collective experience.
Sailing under the stars, out of sight of land with blue water as far as you can see cannot be described in words. Watching the sunset on the Pacific Ocean is something you will never forget. Occasionally, we may even see dolphins and whales. Making landfall after more than two weeks at sea will give you a great sense of accomplishment. You will have a story to tell and memories for a lifetime. Read about previous offshore adventures:

2018 Maui Vancouver key dates:
→ Salient leaves Maui: July 23rd
→ Estimated date to arrive in Vancouver: Aug 8th (16 day passage)
→ allow for 18 possibly 20 days: Aug 10 - 12
Personal Offshore Survival Course Safety at Sea
We highly recommend that all crew take a personal offshore survival course. Course dates are
listed on the BC Sailing page. Christof Marti will assist teaching some of those courses:
